About Me

In short my name is Mark, and I’m an Irish photographer who currently lives and works in Las Vegas on a semi-professional basis. I’m an experienced geek: I write, I shoot photos and I love science fiction with a passion.

To give a longer tale I’ve been a photographer for several years, after following in the footsteps of my brother, Frank to take up the camera and lens. The difference between us is that Frank normally will photograph only planes, while I will happily snap at anything but. Over two years I went from wandering around Galway to working in some very fabulous places in Las Vegas on weddings, portraits, and other events - nightclubs, conventions, gaming events.

Late last year I gave up full time photography in order to follow a far less stressful career as an inventory controller for a local company, which has worked out great so far. By day I manage inventories by night and weekends I still pull out the camera, so I get to have things both ways.

I moved permanently to Las Vegas from Ireland in May of 2007 and promptly found myself living with a wonderful geek and an insane child by the name of Caira. Blonde hair, blue eyes and an impish grin define her.

The rest of my family consists of my wife, Mariah, two four cats, two dogs and miscellaneous other animals. The cats are the other loves of my life and I freely admit to being a helpless cat lover, and three of them were directly or indirectly rescues through Heaven Can Wait here in Las Vegas.
