On the first day, there was a blog named In a World of My Own on

Days, years passed me by like autumn leaves softly falling. The blog was redesigned and relaunched as In a (New) World of My Own on

The blog was neglected. Renewed. Became Pixelpost, WordPress, Drupal (for an hour, literally). Sank softly into sad shadows.

Interesting times.

Tumblr. WordPress. Domains. Pixelpost. More WordPress. Commercialized. De-commercialized. Branded as a commercial photography site: (New) World Photography. Moved to Became a children’s photography site.

Tumblr? Tumblr. Sigh. Tumblr’s fun. Easy to use. Pretty Became Became Became Became Caused splintering. Mess of untagged junk posts. Posts to the left, posts to the right.

Back in Ireland, compiled the blogs. Abandoned Tumblr. Went Pixelpost. Pixelpost died. Went WordPress. Moved to Compiled everything. Cleaned up archives. Deleted duplicate content. Happy. Really.

Re-re-discovered Tumblr. New blog. Sigh.

My photography is on a temporary hold. I felt/feel completely burned out on photography. I’ve done infrared to a minor-death, although oddly the things that feel like a bigger bar are my older digital body and lack of a wide (50mm f/1.8?) prime lens. My gear doesn’t inspire me to take photographs. I dipped into film a few months back with an old Olympus OM-10 body and 28mm f/2.8 prime lens. I really loved this kit, but my lack of ability to develop and the cost of commercially developing and scanning black and white film commercially has been offputting. Okay, the whole point of this is that my blogging over on has dropped off to nothing. The blog isn’t on hiatus or anything – I simply do not have content to put up there.

I don’t feel that my non-photographic posts are really appropriate for the photoblog so I’ve turned back to Tumblr while I puzzle things out. It’s like that really hot girl you hook up with because you each find the other great in bed, but can’t really stand each other otherwise.
