The last two weeks have really sucked: Lexapro, my prescription medicine, can switch off my desire to do anything but lay in bed and stare at the wall. I’ve been limp, lethargic and absented of any urge to anything at all. Even the desire to think went away for a while. This is excluding the other, more visceral, side-effects.
The experience has made me reflective upon just how long I really have been depressed and how it has shaped my life an outlook. One of the hardest things I have ahead is to force myself ever upward and onward in order to return to photography, to confront and resolve relational issues and to grow.
